Introduction
In this week’s post, I am once again working on another character turnaround. For this post, I had to start by fixing some of the problem areas I discovered while doing the breakdown and character key last week on Walter’s front-facing position, and I also decided to perfect the pose a little more.
After fixing those areas, I utilized my 3d model of this character’s pose as a reference. I also made sure to use the guidelines so that everything would remain in the positions defined by the front-facing position.
His head was extremely tricky for me to figure out especially in the 3/4 view. To be honest he almost looked like a zombie from that position, haha. But I reminded myself to be patient and allow myself time to figure it out, and just kept chipping away at the piece adding a little bit here taking a little bit off there while making sure to flip the canvas to keep my eyes fresh. I eventually got something together that I was happy with.
